I’m so sorry to hear that you are in hospital jsy_girl. I hope that your treatment is going well & that you are back home soon.
Is your medication:
150mcg Levo x1 week , 125mcg levo x 6 week plus 25mcg T3 daily (as per your post a year ago)?
When was your last thyroid blood test?
It may be that your medication needs a slight adjustment. Are you experiencing any adverse thyroid symptoms?
Very sorry to read that. Wishing you the very best.
Any illness can cause thyroid hormone levels to go somewhat haywire.
In particular, Non-Thyroidal Illness Syndrome (NTIS).
Typically, what is said is that T3 can drop - but adding liothyronine (T3) is not shown to be a good idea, and indeed might even worsen the outcome.
It is a perplexing enigma.
But other changes in thyroid hormone levels are also possible.
Just in case you are well enough to read up, here are a couple of links:

Thank you. Not quite yet but I’ll take a look. I’ll have to stick with what I’ve got for timebeing.
I am now on 150mcg Levo 4 days and 125mcg 3 days and 25 mcg lio split 10/10/5
I did my meds myself for last few days from a batch I made when severly ill and I’m fairly certain I missed the 25mcg tablet out.
I don’t have latest results as gone to nhs endo and they are slow as anything. And testing is madness. Planning to do my own thriva one in Feb.
Our if interest are the thriva ranges easy to find?
I've never done a Thriva test but I did find this when I was poking around in the website :
.
How do I get my results?
intercom.help/thrivahelpcen...
.
Can I download or get a printout of my results?
Hint: Yes! Here's how to share results with your GP
Just send us a message and we'll share a link so you can download a lab certified PDF of your results.
.
I find it strange that Thriva doesn't make getting a PDF of results a lot more obvious.
I'm assuming that the reference ranges will be on "the lab certified PDF of your results".
They have always hidden them quite well but you used to be able to just click a link and it would take you to the results. Definitely didn't need to ask permission for it!
I've just logged in to my account and found it should be simple for those with thriva accounts to get their results.
How strange that Thriva should make mistakes about displaying their customer's results. A rhetorical question - Why do they want to do this?
Nothing wrong though with highlighting your medication needs to everyone - just so they ‘know’ and perhaps use the opportunity to tell the medics in front of witnesses - even if you are self medicating effectively. Sorry to be so untrusting.
Are you feeling better now and home from the hospital?
