Taken Levo 17 hours before blood draw by mistake

I have mistakenly taken my 2nd Levo and second Liothyronine doses 17 hours before my blood draw. I’m guessing this will mess up my results for my endocrinology appointment? My nhs endocrinologist always tells me to take both at the normal time regardless of the test.

Thanks

I take my Levo between 12pm and 1pm. I don’t take it any different before a blood test the following morning approx 9am. I don’t the your levo timing will matter. But your T3 dose being 17hrs before might make the FT3 result a bit lower.

I am sure it won't matter, my endo tells me to take my last dose of Lio 16 hours before blood test

Many on here recommend splitting your T3 the day before with the last dose 10-12 hours before blood test.

It will only make a difference to Flecmac if they are used to seeing the results with the last dose of T3 10-12 hours before. I doubt their endo will be any the wiser. 😊

Yes, it will make a difference as the day before bloods I have previously taken my first dose Levo and first dose Liothyronine 24 hours before blood draw then second dose of Liothyronine about 10-12 hours before blood draw in the evening. So Endo will see a difference in results.

Also I took Levo with Liothyronine 17 hours before bloods which makes it even worse!!

When I did that one time, my FT3 result was lower, but my FT4 result was about the same. Depends on your endo. Mine didn’t bat an eyelid as my TSH was still the same at 0.01

Hope it doesn’t cause you issues. You could always say you messed up the blood test and request another one.

It’s complicated as I travel a long way to Endo and the blood envelope from the hospital can’t be used here where I live so I have to get GP to transcribe it so that it can be done locally, therefore asking for a repeat at GP would mean I’d be refused.

Definitely complicated. Shame it has to be that way 😕
