Hi, I have always had my blood tests done by 08.30 in the past. The hospital is moving to a booking system that tends to give .uch later in the day. Is it important to have your bloods done early?

Blood tests - what time?
I have always been told to fast and before 9am. On the swift system you should be able to book somewhere else like a chemist. Hope you get it sorted out 😊
It's very important if you have a doctor that doses by the TSH, because that is highest early morning. After 9 am the level drops sharply until midday, when it is at its lowest. But either doctors don't understand that or they don't want to - there's nothing a doctor loves more than reducing your dose!
Previous post showing the daily rhythms of thyroid hormones. The top graph is for TSH which is what your doctor will be looking at. If you test at a different time the readings won't be comparable and you may have your dose adjusted when it should not be changed.
I always have mine done around 2pm. This time suits me dosing routine leaving adequate gaps between doses and test. I do not need to worry about tsh as that result is not relevant for me or my doctor. Also my surgery never gives early morning blood tests to thyroid patients.
