Thyroid tablets can be cut in half using a pill cutter. Most pharmacies have them

or you can take 88mcg one day and 100mcg next day

Many people need to fine tune dose

If alternating dose is a bit hypo

Try 100mcg 5 days and 88mcg 2 days

Or vice versa if it’s bit too much

Important to maintain OPTIMAL vitamin levels too

Test vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin at least annually

I don't like alternating two doses because I'm sensitive to daily changes in hormone so I prefer to cut in half two different doses like 88mcg and 100mcg to get 94mcg per day. Some brands like Levoxyl will easily snap in half with your fingers.

yes you can, get a pill splitter from the pharmacy. There are studies out there that show it’s just as accurate

I am in the united states and I take synthroid as i do like brand drugs vs generic....I only take 50 mg and this is because I have a small thyroid tumor and this has kept it under control for 16 years. question your doctor as to why you need so much. Abbie (I think) makes synthroid and they can be called for questions.
