The pharmacist phoned and asked if I was doing something different with my dose. After my GP’s attitude previously and difficulty in getting the NHS test I was a bit put out.
However about 2 years ago I had changed from taking it in the middle of the night to last thing at night, so moving it about 5 hours earlier. It is unusual for me to have had anything to eat or drink for at least 2 hours (instead of 7) before taking them. Could this have caused the change after 12 years of stability?
The result of the conversation was changing my dose by upping it every other day to 150. So now I take 125 one night and 150 the next. Would it be better to use a pill cutter so I take the same every night?
I don’t get retested for 3 months but will get a private one before that for my own information.
Thank you

I may try alternate days as I have to cut both the 50s and 25s to level the dose, the 50s are very small! ( I have asked to to have the 50s replaced with 2x 25s so I can level it more easily but apparently nothing can be done until after my retest)
I take D3 and a vitamin B complex along with omega 3 which I intend to test for before the GP test.
Hello, How are you feeling with the change in your results? Maybe your body processes the meds better in the morning than at night? Or could some other factor have caused the change in your results (e.g. covid/illness, other meds, diet, stress, vitamin changes, hormone changes etc). Hope you find some answers
It would be good to know the reason why after all these years my results have changed. It might be the effect of moving taking the meds to about 5 hours earlier, but I am not prepared to go back to taking them around 4am. I know people who have made this change and had no problems…but we are all different!
It could be something else, I take supplements now (D &B well away from meds) but nothing else has changed much apart my age. Stressful phases come and go, but they always have.
Possibly it just happens to some people. Unless a clear reason with something I can do about turns up I am ok with increasing my meds for now and seeing how that goes.
The support of this forum is invaluable though. It gives me the confidence to feel a bit in control of my decisions and points out areas I may have missed.
