Has anyone had fluid retention in legs and feet when increasing dose?

My last dose increase of Armour, up to 2.5 grains a day, coincided with the start of the heatwave in earlier summer. My feet swelled up, they look like puffa fish on top. All I can comfortably wear is flip-flops!

I put it down to the heatwave. Well that's way in the past now and my feet are still the same. And it will get cold eventually and then flip-flops will not be adequate footwear but I have no idea what else will fit.

I have to accept that the dose increase caused a big water retention issue. Not just in my feet either.

I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm really tired too and weary. No energy. I'm wondering if this is signs of too much for me and that I should back off.

I'd love to hear from anyone else this happened too and what you did about it.

I'm not in a position to do a blood test for a few weeks more as I've started to self-inject B12 for neurological issues (also mostly feet - my poor feet!) and I want to give that time to settle down first.

I would recommend making an appointment with your GP to discuss this as there are a number of causes and they warrant looking into.

Let us know when you've had your blood test.

How are your vitamins doing too?

Are you splitting your Armour dose?

Yes I split my dose. 3 times a day.

I'm not going to the GP with it at this point. I keep well away from them until I know what I want from them. It was a direct result of increasing my Armour dose, so it is connected somehow. I'm looking to see if others experience this if becoming slightly over-dosed.

I think I have issues with the D2 enzyme kicking in at quite low hormone levels and it could be that. In which case I've become more hypo by taking more hormone. I've seen evidence of the enzyme issue with me before. Fluid retention is a hypo symptom. But I want to know if others have it when over-dosed as so many symptoms can cross over between the two states..
