"Since engaging with professional help, Anna has been diagnosed with separation anxiety." That is a consequence, not a cause!!

Maybe I'm becoming thyroid obsessed but having just read this I wonder if this poor girl's medics ever considered a full thyroid test.

I doubt it.

Posting in case it may resonate with anyone.

Unfortunately, until the medical community take better care of us, some obsession is to be expected. I often think the same with people I meet and advise them to have their thyroid check. Especially those people I meet in the queue at the blood testing in the hospital who have a collection of diseases!

Definitely……my anxiety began around puberty …..I just thought it was me ……but it was adrenals struggling to compensate for thyroid starting to go on the blink

Exactly. It makes me wonder how much money and by who is being made from keeping us so sick. When so much knowledge exists on strategies to keep us well, the ‘blind eye’ approach to it all seems very suspicious. It makes me think of the farce with Antidepressants over the years, and drugs before that claimed to work and didn’t. Except this so the opposite, we the cure, but no will! Now that’s madness.

It is the medical industrial complex that benefits

I read your bio and was sad to read about your recent miscarriage and wish you success when the time is right. If that event has woken you up in terms of you "wondering" about the "madness", then I hope you will take it as a positive.

Unfortunately, until the medical community take better care of us...

WE have to take better care of us....THEY will not lightly kill their various cash cows and various in vivo experiments of X,Y,Z.

Thank you for your kind words. Sadly, my miscarriage had not “woken” me up to the mess that is the health care system, since I’ve been embroiled in it probably since birth in numerous other ways. What I did learn was more new horrors associated with all facets reproductive health.

Big Pharma and all the other cash goes involved thrive over creating and sustaining health inequalities be that for women, Black and Brown people, and many other people besides.

I think so too!

Looking back ( all those many decades ago!) I was an anxious child from the time I started school

Like you, I ( and everybody else I guess)assumed it was just me and somehow, with determination, I coped.

That has been the theme of my life....get on with it.

Until, in my late 50s, I eventually couldn't cope, realised medics were talking rubbish and eventually discovered I have a form of Thyroid Hormone Resistance and need a lot of T3!

All thanks to a small group of knowledgable and experienced members....including you SD!!

Thank you, you all know who you are.

The ignorance about thyroid disease amongst the medical profession beggars belief...and the willingness to invest in research about the condition is staggering when so many are suffering.

Just recently I spoke to someone who needs shoulder joint surgery. Her surgeon said the deterioration is such that a special part has to be sourced and made in America at ( she proudly informed me) the cost to the NHS of £20,000.

Fine...it may help her but I'm afraid I could not stop myself saying....glad you can get relief, but do you realise when all that money is being spent by the NHS that I and many like me cannot get the medication we need, from the NHS, to allow us to function and in extremis, to live. Basically because of the cost! We have to buy our medication from abroad.

She wasn't interested!!

Sorry, I'm ranting but even a shred of understanding may have taken the sting out of that conversation.

Very few are interested...

Take care

So agree... also it's time to include B12 - Folate Ferritin - VitD testing as ROUTINE - poor girl maybe lacking in those too if her thyroid is struggling.

But then of course according to my

adult family I'm a conspiracy theorist ! Which means I think outside the box - apply critical thinking and avoid propaganda when possible... 🌻

It would seem that few/no one appears to get it, UNTIL it's them... then they squeal from the rooftops. It feels as if our medical society [chronic only!] is becoming more and more of a cesspit, headed by some who really ought not to be working with patients.
