Amitriptyline

I currently take 100mg of levothyroxine in the morning around 7am.

Do you think it safe to take Amitriptyline 10mg for sleep thr night before?

Hi there. I can only tell you my own experience. I take 25mg of amitriptyline for sleep and have done for many years. I take 100mcg levothyroxine in the morning and have had no issues. Since taking it my sleep has improved so I'm considering weaning myself off amitriptyline.

When I took amitriptyline for a while over a year ago - for pain - I didn't notice any interactions with levothyroxine.

But I did find it made me very tired and a dry mouth - common side effects.

There have been quite a lot of questions about amitriptyline and this search finds many of them. Could be worth a read through.

I take 10mcg amitriptyline every night and levothyroxine in the morning and it seems fine for me.
