low t4

[Needhelp22]

Please help, very low t4 but in the normal range for the doctors. what can I do? Feel tired all the time, want to eat as soon as I wake. No energy. Etc…..

I had a quick read of your previous posts. Did you get private testing done to include TSH, FT4, FT3 and thyroid antibodies etc as suggested on an earlier post?

If you did then post them and others can comment and make suggestions that could hopefully help you.

I did try but could not do it myself at home. My TSH is 2.4. Doctor does not offer a T3 test.

I also struggle to do home tests so now I go to a pharmacy and get my blood drawn there.

There are options available for a blood draw instead of finger prick tests as SlowDragon has outlined in her reply.

I've had a low and below range FT4 for many years and I know how ill you can feel. But the first step really is to get full thyroid testing done. Post them on the forum and others will then be able to advise you.

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested

Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

Your Vegetarian so low iron /low B12 likely

are you still taking daily B12 and vitamin B complex

Have you had full iron panel test done for anaemia

Vitamin D and thyroid antibodies tested yet

Please add most recent TSH, Ft4 and Ft3
