I have been experiencing different bowel movements, alot of gasses, pain in stomach sometimes which goes and comes and just an uncomfortable feeling after I started levothyroxine 25mcg. Is this issue common with anyone here? I have been to the doctor and she asked me for scans just to be sure but i never had any issues until I started with it which I find strange. Any thoughts/help?

Which brand of Levo? If it's Teva, or Northstar 25mcg which is made by Teva in that dose size, then many people react to that brand as it contains mannitol instead of lactose which is thought to be the trigger. If this is the case put in a yellow card report and ask for a different brand.
Thank you for your reply. I am just checking and it is TEVA. This surely then confirms why im feeling like this then. What are the different brands for levothyroxine with lactose rather? I cant bare with feeling like this anymore and I will place the yellow card report asap.

It's not necessarily that you want a brand with lactose in rather that you should avoid a brand with mannitol in as it's mannitol that seems to be the culprit. There's only the one brand with mannitol and that is Teva and Northstar 25mcg dose tablets which are made by Teva.
Any of the other brands will probably be OK but it's a case of not many produce a 25mcg tablet. Wockhardt do, as does Advanz/Mercury Pharma (also branded as Eltroxin). If those brands are hard to come by or out of stock at pharmacies you could ask for 50mcg dose and cut them in half or take 50mcg on alternate days.
helvella has a document giving all the brands and this image shows a table of all brands, dose sizes and ingredients
This is interesting. I'm in the U.S and began to experience the exact same things soon after starting on Levothyroxine. I thought it was a gluten reaction to which i've never had before starting Levo. I will look for the ingredients in my Levo now
For now, I have went gluten free while taking digestive enzymes which has helped a lot. I've never been gluten intolerant until starting Levo. My symptoms match Celiac/Coliac, but i've never been tested for it.
hi there, how are you dealing with these symptoms and did you speak to your doctor again? What are your exact symptoms?☹️. Is there any tips to avoid them?
I have cut out gluten, and sugar, and take lactose free milk. Still having problems I dont know if its the Levo. My doctor doenst seem concerned but its painful.
