Hi, I am now on Levo 75mcg per day and Lio 15mcg

Not sure if bloods are optimal yet, or do I need to alter meds?

still have some symptoms so not sure which way to go next.

I have Endo appointment Friday so I’d like to be ready with a suggestion!

Thanks for your help

Folate is deficient

Vitamin D is inadequate

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Was test done early morning, ideally around 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you normally split T3 as 3 x 5mcg doses

Was Last 5mcg dose approx 8-12 hours before test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Same brand T3

Ft4 is on low side

Request small increase in levothyroxine

Perhaps initially to 87.5mcg daily

Retest after 6-8 weeks

thankyou for your swift response.

I split my dose day before test as per advice previously and tested first thing in morning.

Haven’t been doing B12 injections tbh, really need to get on it.

I’m not vegetarian or vegan, diagnosed B12 deficiency around 8yrs ago.

Mostly have same brand of meds but they do sometimes send other brands!

I take all meds first thing in morning. Tried splitting T3 a while ago but didn’t work for me.

Not on any supplements at moment. I suppose I should get back on the folic acid, especially if I inject B12.

A good quality vitamin B complex - rather than just folic acid

You don’t appear to need B12 injections

B12 is high

You have B12 injections

Do you have Pernicious Anaemia or are you vegetarian or vegan?

As you have B12 injections it’s recommended also to supplement a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid) may be beneficial.

This can help keep all B vitamins in balance and will help maintain B12 levels between injections too

B vitamins best taken after breakfast

Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule)

IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results

In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate methyl folate supplement
