Giillybean1, I haven't had these tablets myself, so can't answer your question from personal experience.
However, the Patient Information leaflet does not mention a score line, which it wold usually do if one existed.
What Levothyroxine Tablets look like and contents of the pack Each tablet is engraved on one side with LT and engraved on the other with either. medicines.org.uk/emc/files/...
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have printed off the info you included. I am assuming the reference to 'allergy' to levothyroxine wont apply to me as I have taken NDT for a few years, but to be mindful of the excipients in levothyroxine?
As my Endo F/u has been cancelled 4 times (Nhs back log for reasons we know) I havnt had a virtual or face to face with Endo in 15mths. I can wait no longer. I am reducing down my NDT with care and adding in some Levo to see if that improves things for me, and on suggestion from experienced people on this forum. Its also a cost issue long term. NDT may not be feasable financially in the future.
My medicines document has brief notes including (where possible) tablet markings. (But not as photos.) And links to the product documents which can be used for confirmation.
In case you haven't noticed, Mercury Pharma Levothyroxine and Mercury Pharma Eltroxin are identical. (And Mercury Pharma is owned by Advanz Pharma.)
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world. It is sectioned by UK - rest of the world, and by T4, T3, desiccated thyroid, etc.
And do keep up to date. I edit it frequently - sometimes trivially, sometimes extensively. If your copy is more than a few weeks old, please download it again. (You must download - not just view in a browser - for the Table of Contents to work.)
Thank you Helvella for this, and all your info, and all you do for us here. I have learnt a great deal from you, and would otherwise have been totally lost and overwhelmed.
