Has anyone here had issues with their hands. Specifically the tips of their fingers feeling hard and very thick. It gives a very weird sensation. Definitely different than the norm and not at all soft a pliable as it should be. I have spoken with my PCP and of course referred to a dermatologist who just says its dry skin. I know there is something to this just not sure what.
I've always had a bad time with my hands splitting, cracking bleeding but this is really weird to me. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated. My Thyroid levels are right where they should be.

I did have something of the sort in my left hand, once. Lost all feeling in the tips of my fingers. No idea if it was related to thyroid - I wasn't even diagnosed at the time. Eventually, it went away, but it was quite worrying at one point.
I had this with a chemical sensitivity (was a nail technician in a previous life), I get repeats occasionally if I use flash cleaning products without gloves. Itchy and thickening then splitting and so sore. Hydrocortisone cream, savlon, emulsifying ointment and antihistamines all seem to help. Oh and Wilko black ‘marigolds’. Corn starch in disposable gloves can also do it, had to have powder free nitrile during pandemic 😷 hope you find your cause 🦋💚🦋
