Hi everyone. Im taking 100mg Eutirox and 40mg Metavive I (long story - felt bad on t4 only so went to metavive on advice from functional doctor. Felt terrible, went back to mix of euritox and metavive. I had been feeling much better but last few weeks I feel tired and weak in afternoons, dont sleep well. I've been aenemic in the past. Do you think I need to supplement with iron from these results? FT3 and FT4 also on low side. These are my latest results:

tsh 0.23 (0.55-4.78)

Ft3 2.50 (2.30-4.20)

Ft4 1.10 (0.89-1.76)

Vit d 25 oh 62.5 (31-150)

Vit b12 593 (200-910)

Serum iron 84 (60-180)

Ferritin 37 (10-291)

Transferrin 246 low (250-380)

TIBC 329 (250-425)

Selenium, zinc and folate ok a year ago

Copper was low 6 months ago - waiting for test results.

I’m sure others will have more insight than me, but I’d suggest that your T3 is extremely low, and yes you may have a conversion issue, but also your T4 is quite low too, both of which may make you feel unwell. Iron and Vit D both look well below optimal. A note re. Copper, if it is low then avoid supplementing Zinc as they are antagonistic.

Many thanks for your reply. Everything seems low - I feel I dont absirb things well or convery them as you suggest. Thanks for the reminder re copper and zinc. Im still waiting for those results. In the meantine I'm increasing d3, taking b12 and trying to eat more sources of iron. Its hard to find an endo here in Italy that prescribes t3. I felt even worse on t4 alone.
