my last blood test attached. I have been feeling so drained physically and mentally I would probably say I’m at the worst point in my life with lack of energy right now, please could someone take a look at my blood results and let me know what they think or if they can offer any advice I would appreciate it a lot, I’m currently 6 weeks into my upped dose of 100mg Levo and so far nothing has changed how I feel, I had about 2 weeks of feeling normal around 2 months ago and since then I have felt awful.

Are these results from BEFORE starting on levothyroxine?
Which brand of levothyroxine are you currently taking
Did you start on 100mcg levothyroxine
What brand levothyroxine are you currently taking
Essential to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 plus thyroid antibodies
Have these been tested yet
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
About 90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease, usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies
Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s
Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis.
Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.
Low vitamin levels are extremely common when hypothyroid, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s or Ord’s thyroiditis)
20% of autoimmune thyroid patients never have high thyroid antibodies and ultrasound scan of thyroid can get diagnosis
In U.K. medics hardly ever refer to autoimmune thyroid disease as Hashimoto’s (or Ord’s thyroiditis)
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Do you normally take levothyroxine waking or bedtime?
Levothyroxine must always be taken on empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Symptoms of hypothyroidism
Hi , wow this sounds like me. Tired no energy and on Levothyroxine. I can honestly tell you that for me Levothyroxine did not work at all. I had all these symptoms from vertigo, panick attacks etc; I can tell you I started taking compounded meds which is T4/T3 and I feel better I don’t feel 100 better but I feel better. Some of symptoms are gone.
Simply… you need more T4 levothyroxine. Your TSH is 12! Mine needs to be below 1.0 to feel anything near well. Your T4 is also at low range when ideally it should be 75% up through the range. Make sure they also test your T3. It’s vital!
