Hi all, years ago I posted on her eabout my battles with different brands of thyroid drugs, mainly Teva. Since then, I've managed to find a pharmacy who don't give me Teva and I've found an optimum time, for me, to take them. I take mine away from food or caffeine at 3pm and this has worked for a long time now. Timing is important. Hope this helps 😊

Thyroid battle and I won

What product do you now take?
Hi, I'm currently taking Mercurypharma, but anything rather than Teva is suitable. I used to request Activa, but I don't think that they are the same anymore (think they've become Accord).
Although some members have said they felt there were changes when the company changed branding from Actavis to Accord, many of us, including me, did not notice any difference at all.
Does taking it at that time help with getting up in the morning? I really struggle now in the mornings
Hi, I do need 7 hours or I'm floundering. I find that taking them well away from food means that my general mood is improved. When I altered my timings, I had to give my thyroid a few days to adjust as it does seem to react slowly. Also, I try not to get uptight with situations as the chemicals this produces seem to upset the delicate balance. If I've been stressed, it can take days before I feel 'normal' again. I did, once, self medicate (upped my dose)...never again; just about the worst thing for me. Hope you feel better soon.
I was thinking of timings of my Levo mornings I don't like so started night dose 10pm until I was eating later now it's 12am not sure myself the best times to take some mentioned around 3 or 4am

I've tried middle of the night too which did work, but my BP tabs started to wreck my morning at work so I swapped. Now I take my BP tabs when I visit my loo at 3ish. Timing is everything 😅🥰
Always good to have the opportunity to celebrate a thyroid victory x
