Saliva gives you an overview of your diurnal cortisol levels & may include DHEAThe morning blood cortisol will let you know what’s happening at a set spot in time. SlowDragon has given you good links to follow up with as you decide what’s best for you.

Thankyou I had the morning blood at Dr's he said it was ok but on results it advised another test to be done. I think it's best to do the salvia one.

Regenerus link :

Genova Diagnostics UK :

gdx.net/uk/product/adrenal-...

I'd go for Regenerus myself. Genova doesn't like doing business with patients directly, and getting results from them is "awkward".

Read this link on how the process works with Genova :

I’m thinking I should get a cortisol test as I haven’t had one for years… Medichecks have 20% off their saliva test…. Are they ok to use for this?

The Regenerus one mentioned above is considered better as it includes a DHEA result 🤗

Medichecks saliva cortisol test is not very good. They have useless reference ranges that include zero, and they can't measure very small amounts of cortisol. So people get a result of, say,

Cortisol < 2 range < 1.5 or perhaps the other way around, I can't remember exactly.

That result tells you virtually nothing. And someone having zero cortisol is never healthy and shouldn't be in the reference range.

Another thing...

The Medichecks test doesn't include DHEA either.

Regenerus has sensible looking reference ranges that don't include zero as "healthy" and it includes a DHEA result as well, so I would always suggest people use Regenerus.
