I recently received back my Adrenal Hormone Report from Regenerus Labs. It doesn't say very much information & i am hoping someone more knowledgable on the subject can help me interpret my result.
Thank you in advance!

Your results follow the normal curve albeit the first three are low in their ranges.
Optimal levels according to rt3-adrenals.org/cortisol_t... are:
• Morning at the top of the range - yours is just below the bottom end of the optimal range
• Noon approximately 75% of the range - yours has only just crept in at the bottom end of the optimal range
• Evening close to 50% of the range - yours is at the low end of the optimal range
• Nighttime at the bottom of the range - yours is good
I cannot advise on what you should take to raise these cortisol levels, and I have no idea how to raise your DHEA (a knowledgeable practioner would be helpful there, DHEA is prescription only here in the UK if that is what is needed).
An adrenal glandular may be helpful but I would suggest you stay away from adaptogens because they are known to lower cortisol levels even though they are described as "balancing".
You could consider an adrenal cocktail to support your adrenals to see if that helps, recipe easily found by an internet search.
As you are now starting on T3 you should see cortisol levels improve over coming months
thyroidqueen12,
If you are starting T3 I would allow positive change to follow just course. Your results are all low, and low DHEA indicates advancing dys-regulation but as SD has said starting T3 should help enormously to reverse these results.
If you read Paul Robinsons book you will learn he is a keen advocate of taking a T3 dose very early in the morning (ie between 3-5am) to match the circadian pattern of cortisol secretion upon waking. This secretion should be the highest of the day and we need adequate T3 to produce cortisol. I take mine upon waking about 5.30-6am as consider disturbed sleep too much 😬.
Also ensure iron & nutrients are optimal to allow T3 meds to work best. After taking T3 meds, it has to be transported to the right places, hooked up & freed and biologically converted to a positive form so there's lots that can wrong as all these processes reply on good nutrient levels.
Low DHEA should reverse as cortisol levels increase but you could also try a adrenal glandular which was always advocated by Dr P. Otherwise adaptogens that help normalise the HPA axis will help encourage better adrenal function but I wouldn't start anything until T3 routine is well established. .
Ive been able to raise my bottom of the range cortisol to near the top following Paul Robinsons ct3m.
T3 needs cortisol and cortisol needs T3.
As radd said make sure your nutrients are optimal, T3 must have optimal serum iron.
Its all explained in his book Recovery with T3, and the ct3m handbook, both excellent.
I recommend starting with Recovery with T3 first it has all the information you could need about T3, any potential pitfalls and how to fix.
Im not well yet still working on iron but just taking ndt two hours before I get up has got my bottom of the range cortisol to near the top.
He has a fb page, website and several youtube videos about the ct3m process .
Im afraid I havent got any links but they’re all easy to find.
