Is this normal (long and weird)

I just increased my levo after Endo authorized it on my appt last Thursday I went from (100mcg to 125mcg) with (10mcg Cytomel).

Instead of doing what I have always done increase all at once I decided to increase slowly by cutting the 50 into 4 pieces and taking only 1 piece per day with my 100mcg and noticed my pulse has dropped by 5 points from 70 to 65 ( my normal is 70) I never noticed this pulse roller coaster on previous increases however Im not sure if this is connected but last Thursday at my Endo Appointment my hubby and I ate lunch at the hospital (3 hours between test and appt) and we split a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread and within 4 bites I was sick to my stomach and my pulse and blood pressure went crazy for hours after that sandwich (no idea why and hubby was fine) This is the first wheat Ive eaten in about a year and my pulse was raging for 3 days after that sandwich (connected not sure)…. Is it possible that one sandwich on whole wheat bread could be behind my crazy high pulse and now that its out of my system my pulse is normalizing and actually going lower then my usual 70 ?

Side note for pulse clarification: At the Endo’s office on Thursday and until today my pulse has been over 125 and steady regardless of my activity until today when it has finally dropped to 65 and goes to 70 when active…. Before the levo increase and whole wheat sandwich my pulse was 70 (normal) to 80 with activity.

What do you think? Could it be the Levo increase or the whole wheat bread that caused weird pulse or something else?

Would strongly suspect the gluten was the issue

Would gluten actually mess with pulse and blood pressure? I can’t locate information about this.

In my personal experience - yes.

Gluten speeds my heart up (and it is fast to start with), and my BP rises as well.

Did it stop right away or did it last for days? I definitely won’t touch wheat again the nausea was awful.

I can't really say. I have a prescription for beta blockers which slows down my heart and reduced BP. I take one whenever I need one and don't keep records, sorry.

The first time I ever had tachycardia that was brought to the attention of the medical profession it took four days to slow down with beta blockers. That hasn't happened since though.

Just to chime in this, I’ve noticed that if I avoid gluten my heart rate drops significantly. (Like 20 points) to a more “normal” level. But to be honest I never put 2 and 2 together.

It’s one of the first signs I’ve been glutened—heart goes like the clappers. It’s horrible. ☹️
