CRP is an inflammation marker and will rise with inflammation or infection. The fact that you've had shingles will likely have caused the rise, I'm not sure about the eczema type reaction. Your CRP should eventually reduce naturally.
If that was my folate result I'd be taking a good quality, bioavailable B Complex such as Thorne Basic B which contains 400mcg methylfolate. Remember that this will need to be left off for 3-7 days before any blood tests as it contains biotin and this can cause false results.
Thank you SeasideSusie, I am taking a āSuper B-Complexā from Igennus but on checking the label I find it doesnāt have any folate listed. I could in the meantime just get some separate folic acid? But then look at buying some Thorne. I have understood about the Biotin and did discontinue the B Complex before getting my test. Thank you very much for your help. š
However, Igennus contains Vit C which can stop the body using the B12 in the supplement so it's not the best B Complex, I've always done very well with Thorne Basic B.
Youāre quite right it does, I was using my iPhone magnifier and still squinting! Thanks for your other comment about the Vitamin C, I didnāt know that. I have PA so I get injections and do my own additionally as needed, so Iām probably ok with the B12 levels. The Medichecks Doctor commenting on the test says the level is too high!! Nothing new there. š. Iām only taking one tablet of the B Complex, my stomach struggles with too many pills, so Iām only getting half a dose. Iāll try to up my green veg, pulses etc. very many thanks, you are so helpfulš
