NDT - how does it affect life insurance?

So my doctors have prescribed Levothyroxine 3 years ago and after a few attempts to get along with it I simply cannot and have just sourced my own NDT like others on this forum.

My doctors know I take NDT and are not happy about it so I guess it is on my records as I have been upfront with them.

If I drop dead tomorrow from a heart attack or stroke or something. Would the insurers pay out or would this be the kind of get out that they would look for to avoid payment?

Hankpym, my feeling is how a claim would be handled would depend on when you started your policy, what is on your medical records and how you met your maker.

If you do not have access to your FULL medical records, I suggest your organise that. That does not cover hospital records but it is simple enough to get a copy of those by completing a subject access request.
