1 last post from me then i think i need to lay down and rest!
I have an appointment coming up, but as my TSH is range, my endo wont do anything despite me being symptomatic and having high antibodies.
My question is, how can i best utilise this appointment or is there any point in attending it? What else can I get them to do to take me seriously, or what else should they be doing to help me?
Many thanks again!

Have you ever felt really good and if so what was your TSH then? If you could give him some evidence that if you have felt well at a different TSH maybe you could persuade him to give you a trial - although I wouldn’t count on that - as far as I can see the NHS doesn’t go in for fine tuning - am I right in thinking you are hypo and would like to try levothyroxine ?
I went totally gluten free about eight years ago when I developed inflammatory arthritis a couple of years after I had Graves’ disease and managed to reduce my thyroid antibodies. It could have been because of being gluten free or it may well just have been time for them to fall. Who knows but they are much lower now.
So you could always try that. The sensible way is to get checked out to first to see if you have problems with gluten. I didn’t but I realise that probably wasn’t the best way to do it.
Actually I’ve just had a look at your previous posts - I think I’d contact TUK and get their list of thyroid friendly consultants and try a different more sympathetic endo. You’ve got a family history of thyroid disease, your TSH is over four, you’ve got antibodies and although I’m not medically qualified I very much doubt it is all in your head. Good luck with it.
Yes the last time i felt good was when I was around 2 (TSH not age!). My endo wouldn't describe me as hypo and makes me feel like I'm making my symptoms up, however, I would ideally like to avoid ever being on Levo but I know that may not be possible for very long.
I'm gluten free at the moment and very minimal dairy. I live with people who eat gluten, so I'm sure there is some cross contamination going on, so not sure if I'm 100% gluten free.
Yes I have seen that list, my endo is actually on that list!!
I think I need a functional doctor so they can look at every body system....
Thats a great idea thank you!I dont have a fitbit, my weight is up and down, I lost 4 stone just before lockdown but have gained 2, Im struggling to get if off now...
