has anyone managed to talk sense into their GP when reviewing medication for hashimotos in the UK?

Hi all, I just wanted to give some feedback from the post earlier in the week asking the above question. I spoke with one of the good GP's at my practice this morning and armed with the knowledge and advice from you lovely people, I have finally been referred to an endo(I know it's not the be all and end all but a move in the right direction). She has also increased my levo back to 112mcg. So thank you all for your reponses and advice and have a lovely if not bloody freezing weekend!

That's good that you've had some action from your GP and that you're now feeling more confident.

I trained my GP over the years in what to test for etc. He then went and retired. I thought the current one was OK, but when I had a blood test that I did not know was going to happen, and had taken my thyroid meds a couple of hours before, he saw the results and immediately wanted me to drop my Levo by 50. I did explain that I had taken my pills and he said "that would not make any difference". I asked him why I took them then.... crickets....

I will go my own merry way again.
