It resonates for me, I had it in my first pregnancy and sadly my baby died. Its still the leading cause of maternal and foetal death.

Apparently they are trialling tests which can show mothers who are at greater risk using special scans and blood tests which can show if the placenta isn't working properly. It's hopeful progress.

Hi

Thank you, it was over 30 years ago but you never forget. I'm lucky I went on to have two lovely boys. Some women aren't so fortunate as it can recur in subsequent pregnancies.
