Historical blood results - did I ever have a normal thyroid

We need reference range for this test to know whether any of our results go over the top of the range.
Have FT3, FT4 and thyroid antibodies ever been tested?
To be able to compare thyroid results accurately the tests need to have been done under the same conditions each time. We always advise :
* Test no later than 9am
* Nothing to eat or drink except water before the test
* Last dose of Levo (if taking it) should be 24 hours before the test.

You have had radiotherapy to neck (in 2020?) and this could have affected thyroid
Hemi thyroidectomy too for nodule
Are you currently taking any levothyroxine or vitamin supplements?
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s or Ord’s thyroiditis)
Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s
Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis. Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.
In U.K. medics never call it Hashimoto’s, just autoimmune thyroid disease (and they usually ignore the autoimmune aspect)
Yes I’m on 100mmg Levo (Mercury)
I had a nodule and then radio and yes my thyroid was very calcified and damaged they struggled to rule out malignancy when being tested had to be sent to a specialist it was complicated . But all good in the end. Just trying to get levels sorted now
So test this month Jan 22 Only TSH test is completely inadequate
