Hello, I am on 125mg tabs and initially pharmacy was giving mercury pharma brand but today they gave me 100mg accord and 25mg wockhardt. The pharmacist said thats the only brands they could get hold of.
I haven't tried either brand, are they any good?

The main issue is whether you find them good - not the opinions of others.
If they do not contain any excipients (inactive ingredients) which you have problems with, they are otherwise similar to, but not exactly the same as, each other.
It is best to stick to the same manufacturer because you might find changing causes issues. But if you have no choice, see what happens. Always possible you might even find them better!
I often suggest changing (if you have to) while you still have some of your current product left. That way, if you react badly, you can immediately switch back.
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.
Hi as Helvella said its down to the individual. I get on fine with Accord and I have it as a named brand on my prescriptions. I didn't get on Mercury myself and have never tried Wockhardt.
I prefer to split my dose as it suits me better and I get 3x 50mcg Accord each month. My pharmacy struggle to get hold of the 100mcg Accord. But the 50mcg are easier to split anyway. Hopefully you will be OK and you might even find it suits you more.
I was initially taking Mercury which was not great, but it was better for me than Teva for example. Switching to Accord has been the best choice for me and I started mentioning the brand name when I requested a new prescription. I was supposed to take 125 mcg but since Accord don’t have 25 mcg, I used to split 50 mcg in 2 (with a pill cutter) which is not ideal, but it was better for me than combining brands. My GP was fine with that.
