Ranges are unique to each lab machine so you need to supply the range, usually shown in bracket eg (12 - 22).
TSH & FT4 are not sufficient FT3 should also be tested.
Hey again Nil ;
Can I suggest that you just run one post at a time as otherwise I'm sure it will get confusing for both you and forum members.
I replied fully to you on your first post some days ago as did many people but there doesn't seem to be any reply to anybody from you.
As suggested in your second post some hours ago without ranges, stating a T4 number doesn't really tell us anything.
I know this is a very stressful time for you as I 've been through similar, but you can have TED without Graves or Hashimoto's AI thyroid disease and we need to know which antibodies are over range and positive as only Graves Disease should be treated with Carbimazole.
Please try and access your full medical records from the results of first blood test that took you to the doctors so we can track your T3 and T4 results and help you piece together what is going on.
Generally speaking Carbimazole is prescribed to block your T3 and T4 levels going any higher.
This has worked as it seems your T4 has come down :
But we also need your T3 levels tracked and we need to know what you have been diagnosed with and the medical evidence and proof of diagnosis which all should have happened prior to your being prescribed Carbimazole.
Do you have online access to your medical records - that may be the easiest option at this point in time ?
