No meds for nearly three weeks and T3 barely reduced

Hi, a month ago i posted for advice on over-range t4 (no t3 tested at time). Since then my gp has tested everything twice at fortnightly intervals. My dosage has been the same for a long time and all previous results more or less spot on, so the big increase in levels came as a shock. I have not taken any meds now for nearly three weeks. My T4 has reduced from 33 (12-23) to 25, T3 has barely reduced 14.2 (3.5-6.5) on Oct 29 to 11.7 on Nov 15. So still way over range. I would have expected T3 to have reduced more and , other than carrying on not taking meds, don’t know what to think. Any thoughts please?

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Do you wear a Fitbit or equivalent?

Have you seen resting heart rate drop since stopping?

How do you feel?

Have you recently had COVID or vaccination or booster vaccination

Hi Slowdragon, six months ago vit levels were brilliant . I take everything as recommended by yourself and seaside susie. I know things are not right, because i have eye and facial swelling ( seeing eye clinic on Thursday). Heart rate has dropped very slightly from to 65, which is still high for me. My t4 in May on the same dose was 16.5, T3 slightly over, so i reduced my dose. I had my second jab two weeks after these results. I don't want to have the booster while things are so off with my levels. Mentally and physically i feel fine, but the eye swelling (and i have slight breathlessness) must be signs of over ranges. I expected T3 to fall quickly on no meds? Thank you for replying.

Actually, your FT3 has come down quite a bit. And, it still looks like a Hashi's 'hyper' swing to me, as I explained in your last post. Levels aren't going to come down instantly. Remember, as you're not taking any thyroid hormone replacement at the moment, your thyroid is still going to be producing what hormone it can, and your body is still going to be converting some T4 to T3. So you just have to give it time. Stay off the levo for the time being, but I really wouldn't worry about it, if I were you. :)

That’s reassuring greygoose, thank you. (They tested my trab and TPO eight days ago, on advice from a hospital endo, but I haven’t had any results back yet).
