Had an unforseen thyroid blood test today via GP and did not have time to stop taking B complex prior to the sample being drawn. How will this affect the end rssults?
Any input would really be appreciated.

Impossible to say. It could affect all your results, just one, or none at all. And it could give you false highs or false lows. Or they might be entirely accurate, because you only get a small dose of biotin in a B complex.
Best to wait until you get your results and see if anything looks odd. If it does, suggest to your GP that you should retest due to interferrence of the assay.
That said, I'm guessing that the blood draw was later than 9 am, given that it was during a consultation. So, your TSH will not be at its highest.
Thanks greygoose. God to hear there is only a small amount of biotin in b complex. Have only been dosing with one b complex daily instead of the recommended two daily which might go in my favour.Hopefully results may not be affected too much, if not at all. Thankfully I did not take my thyroid meds on morning of blood draw (11 30am) or b complex. Whatever the results will get another test done through medichecks.
As always you have been of great help. Sincere thanks
Suggest you contact the lab and ask them whether the assays they use are, or are not, affected by biotin.
You can usually find contact details for pathology laboratories fairly easily. If you have problems, try the Patient Liaison Service (PALS) which should be able to tell you.
