I thought I would share this. To my total amazement my GP has agreed to Rx my T3 on NHS. 5mcg 3 times daily.
It hasn’t been plain sailing to get here though, had to go private initially to be started on it but then asked my Endo to write to GP asking if I could get T3 on NHS. Didn’t question it at all and put on repeat straight away.
Always worth asking. I live in Staffordshire.

That’s good to know, thank you . NHS endo has just given me a 3 month trial of T3 and I have wondered if my GP could take it over - I’m also in Staffs so that’s hopeful . Could you possibly PM name of the private endo you saw? I saw one for years until he retired but I haven’t seen anyone privately since.
It is very good news that you are being prescribed T3.
Just for information, the following links are by one of Thyroiduk's Advisers who had an accident which caused premature death but he was also an expert in the use of T3,
google.com/search?client=fi...
p.s. he also took T3 too but in the middle of the night when he awoke so that nothing interfered with its uptake.
I take my one daily dose when I get up with one glass of water and am symptom-free and feel well.
As the Endo's name has been requested by p.m.- and just in case it is posted on the forum, I will close this post so that only private messages can be sent to you.
