Dio2 Testing in USA

Hi - I've read lots of posts here about getting your Dio2 gene tested, and it seems to be widely/easily available in the UK, but looking here in the US, not so much. Does anyone know of a website to refer me to that does this?

Regenerus labs here in the UK. do the test. I have had the test and on the basis of the results my endo. was more than happy to prescribe T3. I hope you have success too.

Google Regenerus Laboratories U.K. I’m sure living in the US shouldn’t be an issue. It’s all done by email and can be followed up by a phone call if you choose to have the report interpreted by a professional. When the form asks for your practitioner put in Thyroid UK as this is acceptable to them. Mine took about 3 weeks to come back as positive. My sisters test only took one week and her result was negative.

Thank you. I spotted a Paul Robinson link and within the article, he has listed some gene testing places that would do this. Surprised to not come up with some hits specifically for this in the USA. Most all hits came up with UK sites. Kinda odd. paulrobinsonthyroid.com/dio...

Some genealogy companies (e.g. 23 and ME possibly) might offer gene testing which is rigorous enough to discover your DIO2 status. But I would ask any company you are interested in using to specify whether or not their service will tell you what you want to know before spending any money.

Hi, Yes, the Paul Robinson link says 23 and Me but it only does the Dio1. Regenerous looks to be the most straight forward lab, but I will look around a bit more and try searching gene testing vs searching just the Dio2. Thank you!
