Getting conflicting information online and from doctors... Are prenatal vitamins safe for women with hypothyroidism as most contain 100% RDI iodine? Anyone on here who has been taking them, do you have any recommendations for specific brands that are better than others?
Thanks in advance for all the help!

If, by prenatal vitamins, you mean a multi-vit, possibly not, no. These multis contain things like iodine - as you said - calcium, iron, vit D, zinc, copper, which are things that should be tested before you take them to make sure you need them, because excess is a very bad thing.
Even if you do need all these things, which is highly doubtful, there are many, many other reasons why crowding a bunch vitamins and minerals on one pill, to be all taken together, is a very bad idea for everyone, not just hypos. Iron, for example, should be taken on its own, at least two hours away from everything else - except vit C - because it compromises the absorption of just about everything.
