I have seen several calls for long Covid clinics (and research, etc.) across the media, and across the world. Not for one moment denying the need. But let us make sure they do not get implemented as long Covid-only clinics.
I have a horrible premonition that if someone is referred, or self-refers, the first question is likely to be about when they started to feel fatigued. And if that is before, say, November 2019, it can't possibly be related to Covid-19 so goodbye. The clinics might say, truthfully, that their funding is for long Covid sufferers. But if the issues and/or treatments are the same, they need to be established for and open to all who need them.
