I've seen several post in the last few days with posters asking if others with hoshimotos or other thyroid disorders have had severe reactions to a covid vaccine. Each time the post was closed by the administration without allowing any answers. I understand there is another site on here directed at covid and the vaccines, but these questions are not general, but specifically addressed to those with thyroid issues. I think they should be allowed on this Thyroid site.
In my opinion: I've seen several post in the last... - Thyroid UK
In my opinion
Completely agree that this topic should be discussed openly on this forum !
Also I have never seen the other site/poll about covid and vaccines because I’m on on my iphone only and cant access it x
Not another site, but two special threads on Thyroid UK. Have a look at this post. I'm sure everybody can access these threads even on an iphone.
No I cant on my phone. I cant access any poll and there must be many others cant either. I have consulted HU Support about this x
You can't click on links? I don't know, I don't have any sort of mobile phone - I hate the things! But other people seem to be able to click on links on their phones.

The answers are available in the responses to the two poll threads we have running.
It has been clearly explained in replies to the posts which are closed that we are keeping all vaccine experiences together in those two threads otherwise we will have innumerable threads running and it will be difficult to find answers, people wont search for previous threads but will start their own and the forum will be overrun with vaccine related posts.
This is an extremely busy forum, the largest on HealthUnlocked, with an extremely small Admin team who are kept busy enough. Previous experience has shown us that vaccine threads tend to get out of hand with arguments developing between members who are either pro or anti vaccine. The Admin team don't have time to moderate those types of threads so we have put strict guidelines in place whereby we have just one thread running for each of the first and second vaccine experiences to be reported once a member has received them.
I'm sorry our decision doesn't meet with your approval but it will remain as it is.
The problem with the 2 threads is they are now way to long and my iPad can't load them anymore, this may be a problem for others depending on devices used.
I had not previously seen that anyone was having problems with the polls.
Now that I have seen mention, I have checked on my own phone (an Apple IOS phone using Safari), my laptop (Windows 10 using Firefox) and my tablet (an older Samsung Android tablet using Firefox). Although it took a while to download the poll for the first vaccine on the tablet, they all worked just fine.
That possibly explains one reason I had been unaware – I hadn’t had any issues!
Can you tell us what happens when you try to access the polls? And what sort of device and browser you are using?
Happy to take this up with HealthUnlocked tomorrow – but some hard information would help.

I use an iPad and the problem was either it wouldn't load at all or previously it would eventually load but not go to the post I wanted to read and plodding through 100s of replies to find it was never going to happen ! The only way was to click on the members profile and read it there but again only if it was short as going to the poll would lose it. That may not make sense but I'm not imagining it 😬
Yes you did. You replied to me a while ago about this issue.
I haven’t seen any bit of any polls x
If you mean this:
healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
I simply assumed you would have switched to using Safari rather than the HU app.
PDFs of both polls as they were a few minutes ago.
dropbox.com/s/hbo0ry8h6wmja...
dropbox.com/s/acbrsas78zrhi...
I shall NOT be maintaining these - they have been too dynamic to realistically keep them up to date.
There were specific threads on this site, therefore purely directed at those with thyroid issues. The majority of health & related groups, whether on HU, FB or similar, either have dedicated threads for this topic, or have even closed this subject for discussion. The major reason for this is an overload of work for the volunteer moderators due to the tendency of this debate to revert to anti-vax activity, which is not permitted, and politicisation of the whole Covid situation. There are NHS sites where vaccine and viral reactions and suchlike can be reported, and which are forming the basis for ongoing research.
