Who did this revelation come from?

Your previous posts on the forum told us you have Hashi's and that you take NDT so of course you're hypO, you wouldn't be taking thyroid replacement hormone if you were hypER

O.K. and it's good they have given you the correct diagnosis.

You should be offered levothyroxine initially and the usual starting dose is 50mcg daily. Usually we take this when we awake with one full glass of water and wait an hour before we eat.

Some prefer a bedtime dose - in that case the stomach has to be empty so allow a good gap between levo and food about 2 or 3 hours. You should have a blood test every six weeks and afterwards given an increase in dose as the aim is to relieve all clinical symptoms - the aim being a TSH of 1 or lower and a Free T4 and Free T3 towards the upper part of the ranges.

Always get a print-out of your results, with the ranges for your own records.

I’m a bit confused. Didn’t you know that already? Looking at previous posts, it seems clear that you’re being treated for under active thyroid (hypothyroidism).
