Would steroids affect my levothyroxine dose?

Inhaled salt water & was given steroid inhaler to cope with crackles on chest but have increasing dizzy head & thyroid symptoms. Have been taking it for a week.

Hello Pippe, Sorry you've not had any replies to your post yet. I don't know the answer to your question, but maybe someone else will see this now and be able to help.

In the meantime, if you were given a patient information leaflet with your inhaler, have a look on it to see if there's any mention of the side effects you're experiencing.

Which steroid inhaler were you prescribed? And how much are you taking?

Cleanlife modulite 200mcg 2 puffs twice a day

Is this the product:

Clenil® Modulite® 200 micrograms per actuation pressurised inhalation solution

If so, the standard documentation says nothing about thyroid that I could find:

Nonetheless, be aware and if you are suspicious, don't hesitate to raise the issue with your GP, pharmacist and whoever else - and do a Yellow Card report.
