Posted my bloods last Tuesday early a.m in plenty of time to be collected.Contacted Bluehorizon yesterday curious as to the delay as I thought the results would be back by now.Was told the lab received them on Friday and my results would be ready for today.Queried the time it took the 24 hour tracked delivery and asked if the sample would be ok for testing .Told yes as they apparently last for 4-5 days in the plastic vile.Was also told I should get my results today.Still waiting.Anyone have any similar experience?

Those Tracked 24 envelopes don't guarantee when delivery will be made, usually within 48 hours but you have been unfortunate. For any future tests I would suggest you use Royal Mail's Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm which is what I always use. They should take the cost of the Tracked 24 off the cost of the Special Delivery fee.
Did you ask for doctor's comments, that delays the results by a day and not worth having, you'll get a better interpretation of your results by posting them on the forum.
Ah the ever consistent knowledgeable and helpful SeasideSusie hope your well! No I just asked for the results so I can post on here.With all due respect to there doctors and other doctors I just have lost all faith there! You have me laughing here.unfortunate? No! I was going to pay the extra £30 get blood drawn for this reason.I could follow instructions and advice to the A to Z of the letter and it never goes right.Always been the same and it’s a standing joke with the family.
Update from an email I received today that I have just checked
We have today been informed by the Laboratory that unfortunately, you provided a haemolysed (destruction of the red blood cells) sample and they could not carry out your blood tests. This is an uncommon occurrence, but it does happen in postal samples unfortunately from time to time, and we are not suggesting that you are at fault in anyway. Would you therefore like :
Another microtainer kit sent, to try again;
A vacutainer kit sent – this would require a professional phlebotomist/nurse to take the sample for you.
Once we have your confirmation, we will proceed with your request.
