I’ve been having serious breathing trouble. I took some breathing tests at the hospital on Friday. I’m pretty sure I read that I was under 90% on some. The doctor called me and I missed and called right at 6 and I miss them. I called back and they were gone. I’m stuck wondering all weekend the outcome. Any tips for serious asthma or copd?

Breathing trouble. Possibly COPD
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking Are you also taking T3
When were ferritin and iron levels last tested
Breathlessness can be linked to low iron/ ferritin .....or being under medicated on replacement thyroid hormones
I’m at 175 mcg of tirosint. I go for testing again soon. My levels are probably still off. Would that affect a breathing test though? A pulmonary function one.
Air hunger is common when under medicated for thyroid.....feeling like you can’t get enough air .....wether that results in measurably poor results...don’t know
Thank you. God I hope so. The past few years have been hard health wise and I don’t think I can deal with copd. I have another kid on the way and I’m terrified. I’ve never had a doctor call the same day with test results which is why I’m thinking it’s bad. I wishe they would have waited until Monday. I went to a pulmonologist a year ago. He does basic tests and says your fine. I guarantee it etc etc. A year later after a dozen different specialists. Cardiologists ENTs etc is back at a pulmonologist who says that guy negelected multiple tests that could show something serious

I think you should wait and find out what the doctor says first before jumping to conclusions.
I have COPD and Bronchiectasis and with medication they are manageable.
If you do have a diagnosis of COPD or asthma then a good place to go for patient experience and help is the British Lung Foundation forum here on HealthUnlocked :
Low iron/ferritin can cause breathlessness, as can low B12/folate.
Have you had your nutrient levels tested recently? If you have, ask for a copy of the results and the reference ranges from your surgery. Or ask your doctor to test them. If he refuses you can do them privately with finger-prick testing. If that is necessary ask for advice on what to buy on this forum.
Thanks guys. They haven’t tested my nutrients levels yet. I’ll ask when I talk to the doctor next depending on what the lung tests say. Usually when ask doctors stuff like that they dismiss me. I know I’m letting myself get worked up without knowing anything yet for certain. I just have a lot of physical problems lately and it seems like I can’t catch a break. I’m in the USA not the UK but I’ll check on the link for help.
