It's not about the TSH. It's actually about the FT3 - the active hormone - but they don't want to test that. Probably because they don't understand it. But, you cannot possibly be over-medicated with such a low FT4. I would say, personally, you need an increase in dose. Your FT4 is only 51% through the range. Most hypos need it higher than that.
Thanks greygoose, I think I will have a go at 100mg each day, waiting for my Gp to ring but I doubt he will understand what to do next. I will do this dose for 4 weeks and do a private full thyroid test and see where I stand, I tested my T3 a month ago and it was 4 range of 3.1-6.8)
Really appreciate your advice on here I find out more than any Gp has told me to date.
Your FT3 was pretty low at that point. But, it's not a good idea to test FT3 on its own. You need to test it at the same time as the FT4, so that you can compare them to see how well you convert.
Don’t take vitamin supplements apart from vitamin d. Never had the coeliac test either. Wish my Gp knew more I think I know more than him and that’s not very much! Doing okish gluten free but don’t feel any better for it though
