Where to obtain blood test please.

Hi, I have Graves disease and had RAI. I was discharged by monthly endocrinologist and referred back to GP and was getting along ok for quite some time but just lately noticing feeling a few things off kilter. I've called GP for a blood test but been told by reception I'm now not due one for several months. I'm loathe to call back as my regular GP has now left and been replaced with someone new so a little nervous. (also they never test for t3) I've seen on here people mention private testing kits for £29 or £35, can anyone advise me where to obtain and exactly what would be useful to request to check please? Hopefully once done, you'll be able to advise me on the results. Many thanks.

The £29 kit is from MonitorMyHealth (reduced to £26.10 with discount code mentioned in that link) but it only tests TSH, FT4 and FT3.

Medichecks, Blue Horizon and Thriva do more comprehensive tests including TPO and Tg antibodies, also vitamins if required.

If you haven't had a full thyroid panel and nutrients tested lately, it might be a good idea to go for the thyroid/vitamin bundle. With Medichecks it's the Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test and with Blue Horizon it's the Thyroid Premium Gold test. Both can be done by fingerprick, discount codes within that link above. I can't comment on Thriva as I don't use them.

Thank you for such detailed info. I don’t think I’ve ever had full thyroid panel done so will go for that one I think.
