Does anyone know if gp can tell what brand of liothyronine I get at chemist on NHS prescription.
Brands of liothyronine 5mg: Does anyone know if... - Thyroid UK
Brands of liothyronine 5mg
There is currently only one UK brand of 5 microgram liothyronine! Morningside.
If the GP understands that, they will know. If they don't understand, they possibly would not know.
Not at all clear why you are asking this question. Wondering if this answer is sufficient or if you need more information or explanation?

Ah - I see now your earlier post about SigmaPharm. I suspect the pharmacy would not dispense SigmaPharm unless advised by the prescription itself or, possibly, a letter from the GP. They might find it difficult getting reimbursed.
I take 3 x 5mcgm Sigma Pharma with 100mcgm Levo. I cannot tolerate acacia powder and had to ask GP to write on my scrip, this is sent to a pharmacy in Richmond on Thames who post my meds to me every 2 months. Hardly dare say it works very well. I know it is expensive. Previously I had a private scrip and ordered Thybon from Germany but I think the Sigma Pharma is better, more consistent.
