Thyroid test and biotin

I am having thyroid test on 30 Dec. I am taking vitamin supplements Perfectil, not B complex which contain some biotin. Do I need to stop these or is it just B complex type? Thank you 🙏

There are a lot of different Perfectil supplements. Depends on the ingredients, but anything with biotin in it should be stopped. On the other hand, maybe you should stop the Perfectil altogether, because multi-vits are not recommended on here.

I didn’t realise they are not recommended. I’ll have the test as GP has asked for one but will need to get medichecks again as they only ask for TSH and FT4.

Any supplement containing Biotin can affect results of blood tests. We always advise leaving them off for 7 days.
