My doctor prescribed pancreatic enzyme( made of animal hormone) to break down the foods I eat. This is because of my thyroid related constipation(IBS), bloating, gas, etc. Since I'm taking Levothyroxine 75 mcg with 6 1/2 mcg T3, I'm wondering if this new medication messes the absorption or conversion of my thyroid hormones. Any advice is highly appreciated.

Is pancreatic enzyme replacement affects function/conversion of Thyroid hormone?
I think, if anything, it will improve how you feel, and could improve the conversion of your thyroid hormones. You'll be absorbing more nutrients from your food and this should help conversion of T4 to T3.
Constipation, IBS etc are all hypothyroid symptoms
What are your most recent thyroid and vitamin results?
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
If/when also on T3, make sure to take 3mcg of daily dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test
Is this how you do your tests?
MorningThanks for your reply. I posting last month's results again. I have stopped taking high copper supplements and monitor my high B-12 blood results based on my last blood results. I'm just worried the new hormone messes my thyroid conversion. Thanks for your time.

Hi,was so pleased to see your post as I think this is what's happening to me after lots of research and just working things out for myself. I have nodules and have just been told my T3 is over top of range. So I am now on Carbimazole. Few weeks previous to this I started to really get bloated, belching all the time pain in left side and pain in rectum. Bloods are ok but I am sure it's my Pancreas.Sorry I am going on a bit but did you get any of these symptoms.Thankyou
My IBS is getting worse and worse by age or present health condition, unfortunately, adding T3 to my treatment in the last few months, and then Pancreatic enzyme in the last 6 weeks has had no effect on my digestive issues. I'm still bloated, Has gas pain, and if I don't take stool softener daily there is no relief. In your case, it is worth to try the pancreatic enzyme. Hope it helps you to overcome some of your symptoms.Good luck.
Keep us posted. Good luck.
