Jumping from hypo to hyper with no change in dosage?

Hi all. I've taken the same dose of T3 for 3/4 weeks approx but out of the blue today I felt overmedicated around 3 hours after my morning dose. Jumpy, anxious, couldn't focus etc. This lasted for about 5 hours and I started to feel they T3 wearing off so I didn't take my afternoon dose and decided to take a lower evening dose. 3 hours after taking it I had a mild nosebleed which always happens when I'm overmedicated. Does this happen to anyone else out of the blue?

I'm wondering if you've had a hashis flare. I don't know a lot about that, but hopefully someone else knows. Something to do with the thyroid being attacked and results in hormones being dumped, with a temporary overdose of hormones.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. Maybe write another post with 'flare' in the heading and see if you get replies. Or search this site.

It hasn't happened out of the blue. It is likely to be your body adjusting to the new dose. Yes t3 is different to levo but the body still needs weeks to adjust.

Thank you. I've been increasing my dose very slowly but held at my current dose fir 3+weeks as I'm very sensitive to thyroid meds. Strange how it hit me yesterday. So far today I haven't taken any thyroid meds with no adverse effects as yet but usually if I'm late taking s dose I can feel the effects of it pretty quickly like fatigue etc.

Is there anything else you may have changed or added other medication for the first time or taking things too close together? Just a random stab of suggestions as generally our body can react to ‘change’.

Hi Silverfox, I haven't changed anything. The only medication I take is my thyroid one. I take a B complex, and vit D daily. Its really confusing. My last bloods showed that I was slightly undermedicated. Im scratching my head here trying to figure it out.

I've always taken one daily dose. No problems and feel well.

I take my dose T3 once daily on an empty stomach and wait an hour before eating. It saturates the T3 receptor cells and 'sends out waves' throughout the day.

I haven't had any problems or symptoms whilst taking it and my life is a bit freer and not watching the clock. Best of all I have no symptoms.

Hi Shaw. Im currently taking Thybon 3 times a day. I've tried taking a higher dose in the morning but after 3 hours I feel jittery, hot etc. Do you take slow or fast release T3?
