Swelling oedema following surgery

Firstly I’m finding this site extremely helpful Thankyou all My question is Following surgery I still have swelling /oedema on top side of scar Consultant has suggested massage Has this happened to others ? and if so any advise?

Interesting, I had surgery on my knee 18 months ago and have swelling/ oedema around my knee still. I can’t offer any advice but interested to see if anybody else has any.

What type of surgery? Thyroidectomy

Yes total thyroidectomy

I was a little swollen around my thyroidectomy scar after surgery, I don’t recall when it went away. Maybe ice it a little.
