With hindsight, it was not very well written and did not explain itself.
As I re-read it, and appreciated its many weaknesses, I decided to rework the text completely. And have now produced another downloadable PDF document:
helvella – Consistent dispensing of Levothyroxine and Liothyronine Products
I have had quite a few different brands of levothyroxine over the years, but can’t say I have noticed any real difference.
Had annual consultation with endocrinologist today (by phone) and got the usual lecture about how he would like me to come off liothyronine altogether as not enough is known about the long term effects of taking it etc etc. Anyway convinced him to keep recommending that GP keeps prescribing it for now. However, he says that a lot of practices are refusing to prescribe it due to the excessive cost.
He is very good, but 100% in the camp of TSH is the only figure that matters in thyroid blood test results☹️
