High Prolactin

Hi All,

I just had some bloods done though Medichecks, I decided to do the female hormone panel to check everything as I’m trying to convince. Well my prolactin has come back high which I think is common alongside hypothyroidism. Just wondering if anyone has experience of this and what I can do to resolve?

TIA

X

Hi in same boat! mine has gone back up to 600 odd they found ive a pituitary tumour/Prolactinoma though but not convinced all to do with that as found meds increase it like amitriptyline and Omeprazole both cause issues!

Yet Quacks never pick that up that what there shooving in your chops is also what's causing the on going issues!

Hi Oscarbravo,

Yes mine are over 600 so I am concerned. I have recently found out that the time of day that the test is taken can affect your readings. But I don’t think it should be as high as they are regardless.

Have you been checked for Pituitary tumour and are you getting any issues like breast soreness/tenderness or flaking even?

Stress and few other things can increase it also like stimulation!

They get dam sore esp with cold as ive Raynauds also which most quacks just Yak Hands & Feet!

Not mean't to have these being born male! but after they shoved testosterone under my nose that increased it and Growth not to mention torture pain like being rubbed with a red hot wire brush!

Endo's wasn't much help! sure there main job was shelf at Asda's?

Asked me why wearing a bra? was 44E which i and many have said pretty obvious! as constantly flaking & painful. now i'm a 42H/44G!

Mind then ended up having a TIA/Stroke over it as BP was 185/115 was norm 90/60.

Mind even that they can't agree on but had many issues changed way i am and attention span is short.don't use tube etc as had bad episodes on tube as brain can get in a sort of rage.

Not having any issues like that at the moment but I’d definitely like to get to the bottom of what’s going on. Really hope things have got better for you since all this.

Well Barts wanted to send me back to St thomases GP sent me a text to which i said NEIN! barts said because they'd known me/had my info?

I said was 8 years back so well out of date and changed since then!

So work in progress GP is redoing i said if not will go UCLH.

ST as good as they are at likes of Heart things etc Pituitary things isn't there strong point!

But seems to be so much of the pass the parcel thing going on no one wants to be doing things but will send you over there to which they will send you over there!.
