Medication dosage

Hello,

My daughters Levothyroxine has to be reduced a little (see previous posts) but im just wondering, is there a difference/is it better to either split tablets (1.5 tablets 25mcg) daily or (50mcg and 25mcg) on alternate days? Thank you

Many folk do alternate days. My body doesn't like that so I have to cut tablets. Basic pill cutter from Boots does the job. It is up to you and how sensitive your daughter is to levo.

How do you know your body doesn’t like it please? Does the pill impact someone daily then opposed to the amount over a period of time say? It will be hard to know whats best for a 6 year old. Tnx

You will have to judge by her saying that she feels funny or different. For me I just felt off on the days when I had the lower dose. Many manage to have alternating doses and I hope that will be the same for her. All you can do is observe and if she is less active or not herself see if it matches a pattern with the alternate dosing.
