I’m yet again having problems getting MP. I’ve been waiting for the chemist to fill my 50mcg prescription now for over 6 weeks (they had 100mcg in bottles then) and I’ve just spoken to them and they cannot get it from suppliers at present.
I’ve been here before, similarly around July, and I discovered later that MP disappeared from the market as it was marketed as Eltroxin. Could this be causing the issue now so the chemist asks for MP but suppliers are not putting the two together? Does anyone know what the supply issue is?
Many thanks for your help!

Are you able to split the 100mcgm tabs? You could phone Springfield Pharmacy in Richmond. They accept NHS scrips and send the meds by first class post.
Thanks crimple, it’s helpful, I’ll look into it! I actually called a random pharmacy yesterday and they had some in stock and are trying to get the others for me. Only one of their suppliers had it and it was indeed under Eltroxin not MP.
Their levothyroxine is packaged both as "Mercury Pharma levothyroxine" and as "Mercury Pharma Eltroxin". We have never really understood why they do this but every so often some people get Eltroxin - then it seems to disappear for a while. It is exactly the same product whichever packaging.
