And look at all the information on the chronic illness and trauma connection and adverse childhood experiences. Even if this doesn't sound as though it applies to you and you don't remember anything bad in your childhood, the chances are that it does.

For me, I feel this explains the root cause of my problems, in particular the emotional aspects.

I am now enrolled on a course to deal with this and the damage has been done and hope to heal my body and mind and, hopefully, cure the thyroid disease with it.

I haven't looked at the links you attached but I have also been researching this field and am very very interested in it - if you don't want to share the information with the whole forum would you perhaps PM me with information about the course you are going to do? - I first came across this from a very reputable source, but was very sceptical about it initially; however, as I researched more everything seemed to come back to damage to the limbic system due to childhood trauma which apparently is treatable with, in some cases, very remarkable results.
